Ather Energy sells 6,410 units in August, rolls out 50,000th 450X
Smart electric scooter OEM clocks cumulative sales of 19,675 units in the April-August 2022 period.
Smart electric scooter maker Ather Energy has reported wholesales of 6,410 units in August 2022, registering 297% year-on-year growth, albeit on a low year-ago base.
Ravneet S Phokela, Chief Business Officer, Ather Energy, said: “We have registered the highest ever monthly sales figures, delivering 6,410 scooters to our customers. The demand has always been strong, but we’ve been grappling with supply chain constraints. It is now that all the hard work on ramping up the supply chain is beginning to pay off, and we see growth in our production numbers. This growing momentum in production will ease the waiting period for deliveries, and that coupled with the ongoing distribution footprint expansion sets us up well for a great festive season.”
With this, Ather has clocked cumulative sales of 19,675 units in the April-August 2022 period. One of the highlights of August 2022 was the company rolling out its 50,000th Ather 450X. Ather, which claims it is the leading EV OEM in the state of Kerala with a 34% market share, inaugurated three new experience centres in Pune, Chennai and Ranchi.
