Akshok Leyland will soon reveal their version of Nissan’s NV200 people mover known as the Stile, which means style in Italian. The car has an all new nose, a new low cost interior, and most importantly a different positioning from Nissan’s version, which is called the Evalia.
Whereas Nissan’s version will be more luxurious and passenger oriented, the Stile will be targeted at the utility end of the market. Pricing is expected to be around that of the Xylo and the Ashok Leyland version will lack features like ABS and airbags. While the pre-launch illustration shown here is still a prototype, it is very close to the version that will finally be put to production. The Stile will be powered by the same 1.5-litre diesel engine doing duty in the Logan. Seven- and eight-seater versions are expected.
