Apollo launches two offerings for mining segment
The range which will be made at the company’s Chennai facility were developed for, and tested extensively at mining locations in India and Indonesia.
Apollo Tyres has revamped its offerings for the mining segment in India introducing the Apollo EnduTuff Mining, a mining radial and Apollo Terra MT, a bias tyre.
In a press release, the company said that the EnduTuff Mining, with its superior performance qualities, reduces the downtime for customers, thus enhancing their savings. This tyre presents a CPKM advantage of over 40 percent with superior life, puncture resistance, higher uptime along with the most durable casing and hence multiple retreads. These tyres are suited for mining applications where there is limited exposure to extremely rough terrains.
The special compound used with a unique blend of polymers and resins provides superior mileage, while the anchored block shape ensures uniform loading and stable footprint in all loads for smooth wear, the company said.
The Apollo Terra MT, is a bias tyre for the CV mining segment that was developed based on inputs received from customers related to casing durability. The company said it spent over a 1000 man hours in their development and testing before launching it.
The Terra MT offers puncture resistance, resistance to chipping and chunking, higher initial tread mileage and best-in-class retreadability, the company said.
