Anand Mahindra tweets all-electric XUV 400 teaser
Sharing the teaser, Anand Mahindra wrote on Twitter on Wednesday, “Today is a very auspicious day, so delighted to announce another curtain-raiser coming your way soon.”
Mahindra & Mahindra Group Chairman Anand Mahindra has shared a 15-second teaser of the forthcoming electric version of the XUV 300 compact SUV to be re-christened as the XUV 400. The official launch is expected later this month.
The XUV400 will be 4.2m long and will be powered by a larger NMC battery from Korea’s LG Energy Solution. The expected driving range is expected to be 400 km on a single charge.
The new twin peak logo is quite visible in the teaser video.
Sharing the teaser, Anand Mahindra wrote on Twitter on Wednesday, “Today is a very auspicious day, so delighted to announce another curtain-raiser coming your way soon.”
The electric motor is said to generate 150hp and the new XUV will carry new headlights with integrated DRLs, a closed-off front grille, and a new design for the tail lamps.
Among the expected features, Mahindra’s SUV includes a larger touchscreen infotainment system and an Advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS).
Earlier in August, the Indian auto major announced that Mahindra & Mahindra's legacy brands will come under the XUV brand while the all-new electric model would be rolled out under the BE umbrella.
After market launch it will compete with rivals like Tata Nexon EV.
