ACMA Automechanika New Delhi to pack a punch

Come February and New Delhi will host ACMA Automechanika at Pragati Maidan. Automechanika is the world’s most renowned automobile industry trade fair brand. The India event (February 7-10), part of 12 Automechanikas held worldwide, is jointly organised by Messe Frankfurt Trade Fairs India and the Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA), the apex industry body for the Indian auto component industry.

Automechanika, which is renowned to be the meeting place for the sector and for third-country business, presents the entire process chain in the automotive aftermarket, from point-of-sale, via services, to recycling and waste disposal. ACMA Automechanika New Delhi will be India’s only focussed and dedicated exhibition on the automotive aftermarket. It will cover six product groups — Parts & Systems, Accessories & Tuning, Tyres & Batteries, Repair & Maintenance, IT & Management and Service Station & Car Wash.

It will also host a seminar on February 8-9 at Hall 8. The program highlights are:

• Focus on opportunities for Indian auto component manufacturers with a focus on the aftermarket segment.

• Learnings for India from trends in the world’s developed aftermarkets.

• Opportunities for India in the international arena.

• Improving the auto components value chain.

• Cutting Costs: Lessons from China.

Over 250 exhibitors from 12 countries have confirmed their presence at the India show. Clearly, they are looking to be part of the action in the Indian market. India is the world’s second fastest growing automotive production hub and is expected to witness a three-fold increase in demand for automobiles by 2020.

There are also five country pavilions from China, Germany, Italy, Taiwan and the UK. The show will provide networking opportunities with industry stakeholders and regulatory bodies to establish partnerships such as JV projects or distribution networks, as well as open the door for exports.
