​EeVe India launches Atreo and Ahava e-scooters with price starting at Rs 55,900

The start-up says the new electric scooters come with a 5-year warranty. The Atreo has a claimed range of 90-100 km, while the Ahava offers a riding range of 60-70km.

Odisha-based electric two-wheeler startup EeVe India has launched two new variants of its electric scooters Atera and Ahava priced at Rs 55,900 and Rs 64,900 respectively. With this the brand now sells 6 models in the domestic market.

The start-up says the new electric scooters come with a 5-year warranty. The Atreo has a claimed range of 90-100 km, while the Ahava offers a riding range of 60-70km. The e-scooters come with day-time running lights and has a claimed running cost of 15 paise per km. The e-scooters get connected features like geo-tagging, geo-fencing and immobilisation among others.

Harsh Vardhan Didwania, co-founder and director, EeVe India said: “We are really excited about adding two new variants of electric scooters besides the existing Xeniaa, Wind, 4U and Your models. We look forward to establishing ourselves as one of the pioneer manufacturers of electric scooters in the near future. Our vehicles are designed keeping in mind the needs and requirements of the Indian two-wheeler users.”

EeVe India was founded in 2018 by Jay Prakash Didwania and Harsh Vardhan Didwania. At present, the company has a presence in 62 Indian cities, spread across the states of Odisha, West Bengal, Maharashtra, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Manipur, Assam, and Jharkhand. The company is targeting to have more than 200 dealers by March 2021.

The company has invested around Rs 70 crore and further aims to invest Rs 160 crore over the next two years, a major portion of which would go into capacity expansion to 60,000 units at its plant in Bhubaneshwar, which can currently make 12,000 units annually.
