Spinny Opens First Spinny Park in Mumbai Region, in Kalyan

Spinny, a used car retail company, has opened its first Spinny Park in the Mumbai market, in Kalyan. The site covers 15,000 square feet and has parking for 61 cars.

The Park is on Kalyan-Bhiwandi Road, near K N Park Hotel in Rannoli. According to the company, it offers both car buying and car selling at one location. Buyers can view cars sold under the "Spinny Assured" label, take test drives and get help with financing and ownership. Sellers can use SellRight by Spinny, which provides valuations, payment and support with registration certificate (RC) transfer.

Spinny marked the opening with Spinny Park Live, an event series it holds at its sites. The Kalyan event took place during the Ganpati festival and included performances by Marathi and local artists. It was hosted by Marathi Kapil.

Commenting on the launch, Niraj Singh, Founder & CEO, Spinny, said: “Mumbai has been an integral part of Spinny’s journey, and this is the right time to bring a Spinny Park here. Maharashtra has been an important market for us, and this is a meaningful next step in getting even closer to our customers.”

Kalyan is in Thane district and is part of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. Kalyan-Bhiwandi Road connects Kalyan with the neighbouring town of Bhiwandi.

Spinny already operates elsewhere in Maharashtra. In the Mumbai region it has five Car Hubs, including sites in Dadar, Seawoods, Vidyavihar and Kandivali, and it also has a presence in Thane. In Pune it has four locations, three of them Spinny Parks. It also operates in Nashik and Nagpur. The company said Pune has become a leading market for it in the state.

In these cities, Spinny offers home test drives, home delivery and doorstep car selling in addition to its physical sites. The company said these services allow it to reach customers outside the immediate area of its showrooms.

Spinny said its Maharashtra expansion relies on its own sourcing and inspection system. Cars are inspected and refurbished at its Integrated Quality Centres before sale. Its procurement network covers more than 100 cities, and the company uses it to source vehicles nationwide for its retail sites.

Spinny was founded in 2015. It says it serves more than one lakh customers a year and operates more than 57 Car Hubs and 17 Spinny Parks in over 80 cities. The company says every car goes through a 200-point inspection and is sold with a five-day money-back guarantee, a warranty, free RC transfer and financing options. It says its Integrated Restoration Centres carry out refurbishment and inspection. These figures come from the company and were not independently verified. Former India cricketer Sachin Tendulkar is a strategic investor in Spinny and its lead brand ambassador.
