Volvo Buses bags largest-ever coach contract from the US

Volvo Buses’ subsidiary Prevost has been awarded its largest order ever in term of value with the win of two New York State’s Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTAAA) contracts.

MTA has awarded the Volvo Bus subsidiary, Prevost, two contracts for up to 330 buses, with a firm order of 307 buses to be delivered between 2020 and 2022, and options for 23 additional buses.

MTA has the largest bus and coach fleet in North America and we want to make a difference for the citizens of New York”, said Håkan Agnevall, President of Volvo Buses.

The order is also important for the employment and it allows Volvo Buses to double its production of buses at the Prevost factory in Plattsburgh.
