Valeo one of the top employers in India; Goodyear Dunlop and Saint Gobain make the cut in Europe
Valeo India, which is based in Chennai, operates in 29 other countries and employs 81,800 people globally (2,874 people in India).
The Top Employers Institute, which globally certifies excellence in the conditions that employers create for their people, has released a list of companies that have been independently certified by the organization as the top employers for the year 2015.
In India, Valeo is the only company from the automotive sector that has been certified as a top employer. However in Europe, Goodyear, Goodyear Dunlop and Saint Gobain are certified as top employers apart from various companies with different backgrounds. Also, China saw a host of automotive companies like Autoliv, BASF, Bosch, Goodyear, Valeo and Volkswagen receiving the top employers’ certification.
Valeo India, which is based in Chennai, operates in 29 other countries and employs 81,800 people globally (2,874 people in India).
The certification is awarded to companies offering excellent working conditions that train and develop talents at every level throughout the company and which strive to improve and optimise best practices in the field of human resources.
The key point of the procedures followed by Top Employers is a research process – the HR Best Practices Survey – and the high standards required must be met. In order to safeguard the validity of the research procedures, each answer undergoes revision by audit. Once certified as a Top Employer, qualifying organisations can profile their exclusive status for one year. This enhances their employer brand and announces to existing employees, potential employees and other stakeholders that the organisation is excelling at providing an enriching experience for its employees and, in doing so, is part of an elite group of international businesses.
In the United Kingdom, Bentley, Volkswagen and Vauxhall motors were certified as the top employers. North America followed a similar pattern as Saint Gobain and Valeo made the list along with Volkswagen.
