TVS HLX commuter bike crosses a million sales globally

TVS Motor Company's TVS HLX series commuter motorcycle has crossed the 1-million sales milestone globally.

Launched in 2013 with motorcycles in the range of 100cc to 150cc, the TVS HLX series is sold as variants of the HLX Plus (100cc), HLX 125, HLX 150 and HLX 150X in over 40 countries in Africa, Middle East and South America.

The company says the TVS HLX has been instrumental in transforming millions of lives across Africa by providing an easy mobility solution for riders, as well as, becoming an employment generator by creating opportunities for moto taxis. Today, the series is a leading brand in the continent of Africa with growing presence in Middle East and South America.

According to KN Radhakrishnan, director and CEO, TVS Motor Company,  “The TVS HLX first forayed in Africa and the brand was developed to cater to tough usage conditions of commuters. We achieved this through extensive customer research, understanding of ride cycles, robust engineering and extensive field trials. This led to the HLX becoming the benchmark for quality and a leader in its segment in Africa and across global markets. This milestone is a reinforcement of our endeavour to continue offering superior products and complement them with dedicated customer satisfaction initiatives.”

In terms of product features, the TVS HLX's highlights are good fuel efficiency, durability and a comfortable suspension. Rider-friendly features such as USB mobile charger ensure that the customers are well equipped in areas of frequent power outage. Other attractions are the long seat and easy serviceability.
