Tata Motors Group’s global sales up 7 percent in December 2015

The cumulative wholesales for this fiscal were at 754,307 units, up 6 percent over the last fiscal.

Tata Motors Group’s global sales up 7 percent in December 2015

The Tata Motors Group, including Jaguar Land Rover, sold 91,762 vehicles globally in December 2015, up 7 percent compared to the same period previous year. The cumulative wholesales for this fiscal were at 754,307 units, up 6 percent over the last fiscal. 

The global wholesales of all Tata Motors’ commercial vehicles and Tata Daewoo range in December 2015 included 32,475 units, up 6 percent compared to December 2014. The cumulative commercial vehicles wholesales for this fiscal declined by 1 percent over the last fiscal at 273,485 vehicles.

Further, the Group sold 59,287  passenger vehicles globally, up 8 YoY. The cumulative passenger vehicles wholesales for this fiscal were at 480,822 units, up 10 percent YoY. 

The global wholesales of Tata Motors’ passenger vehicles in December 2015 included 8,371 units, down 32 percent over December 2014. The cumulative wholesales for the fiscal were 98,159 units, up 4 percent YoY. 

The global wholesales for Jaguar Land Rover were 50,972 vehicles. Jaguar wholesales for the month were 8,784 vehicles and cumulative wholesales were 69,913 vehicles, while Land Rover wholesales for the month were 42,188 vehicles and cumulative wholesales were 3,11,745 vehicles. The cumulative wholesales for Jaguar Land Rover for the fiscal were 3,81,658 vehicles.
