Suzuki launches Wagon R in Pakistan

Suzuki Motor Corporation’s subsidiary Pak Suzuki Motor Co has started production and sales of the Wagon R in Pakistan from April 20.

The made-in-Pakistan Wagon R is powered by a 1.0-litre engine, like the Indian model. Pakistan is the third country, after Magyar Suzuki in Hungary and Maruti Suzuki in India, to produce the Wagon R.

At present, Suzuki has a 54 percent market share in Pakistan’s passenger car market. In FY2013 Pak Suzuki produced a total of 77,000 cars and 24,000 motorcycles.
