Nissan packs a punch with Intelligent Mobility at Sao Paulo Motor Show

Nissan Motor Company is looking to impress at the 2016 São Paulo Motor Show, the largest auto show in Latin America, with the display of seven models. Under the umbrella vision of Intelligent Mobility for every segment, Nissan has made several key vehicle introductions.

New Nissan Frontier

The 12th generation of the Nissan Frontier has premiered in Brazil. Beyond its modern, robust design, the core of Frontier is a strengthened structure with a reinforced chassis that makes it four times more durable, while being lighter and more efficient. The ladder chassis with a double "C" structure design, enhances rigidity and prevents damage from external forces.

A combination of technologies allow for maximum off-roading, a comfortable drive while tech features are at the service of the driver. Among them are Hill Descent Control (HDC) and Hill Start Assist (HSA). These prevent the car from rolling away when driving up or down a steep incline by automatically engaging the brakes and maintaining the vehicle; static after the brake is release, giving the driver time to apply the throttle. The model on display is the crew-cab AWD version, equipped with the all-new 2.3-litre twin-turbo diesel engine that delivers 190 hp.

Nissan Kicks SV Limited

Nissan Kicks ‘2-Tone’

The launch of Kicks in 2-tone colour combinations inspired Brazilian trend trackers. First available in charcoal/orange, as the concept that made it famous, and white/orange as the Olympics where it was the official car, Kicks now presents another color trend: gray/silver.

Nissan Concept 2020 Vision Gran Turismo

Conceived as a videogame racecar by Nissan designers in Europe, it inspired the brand’s engineers in Japan to make it a reality.  It competes in Sony PlayStation's highly commended Gran Turismo (GT6) game. The real-life model on display in Sao Paulo was first seen at the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show.

Focused on a sporty appeal with a high-end finish, the design exercise comes with red bodywork with black roof, pillars and door mirrors with integrated turn signals. Wheels and the all-new bumpers were given a sportier appeal while the rear is now equipped with a spoiler. The styling exercise was created by the Nissan Design America – Rio (NDA-R), whose operations started in 2013 to contribute to the brand's local projects.

Nissan Versa Sportech

The Nissan Versa Sportech is another design exercise created by the NDA-R and comes with new aesthetic features to boost its sporty appeal. On the front, the exclusive bumper gives it the impression of having a lower overhang. There are new side skirts and the dark metal wheels team up with low profile tyres, while the interior boasts exclusive leather-appointed seats.
