MANN + HUMMEL honours top suppliers
Eight top suppliers receive the MANN + HUMMEL Global Supplier Award 2015.
Filtration specialist company MANN + HUMMEL earlier this year honoured some of its suppliers with the Global Supplier Award 2015 for their outstanding achievements. The company says, the increasing demands of customers in the automotive industry require consistent improvements in quality and increased flexibility of all stakeholders in the value chain and for the first time a vendor has been awarded for its innovation this year.
Given the growth objectives of the company, purchasing and supplier development is becoming increasingly strategic importance. "We want to expand our innovation leadership and strengthen. The close cooperation with our suppliers is therefore extremely important for us. For nearly 75 years, the name MANN + HUMMEL as a synonym for first-class filtration," says Alfred Weber, CEO of MANN + HUMMEL. "We are committed to our customers our reputation. This award was not only launched to recognise excellence, it is also an incentive for our suppliers in order to achieve a competitive advantage for the future together through performance and innovation."
The Global Supplier Award 2015 from MANN + HUMMEL was held under the motto ‘Passion to intensify and innovate’. MANN + HUMMEL recognised seven suppliers of the year and praised for the first time a separate ‘Supplier Innovation Award’. The awards cover all fields of technology in which the company wants to shape the future of being a filtration leader.
The ‘best of the best’ of 68 rated top suppliers from 16 countries are:

- Hörnlein Forming GmbH, Germany

- Kunshan DKC Automotive Systems Co. Ltd., USA
- Innovation Award for Savatech, doo, Slovenia
MANN + HUMMEL, development partner and series supplier to the international automotive and mechanical engineering industries, plans further growth and increases in sales of 2.62 billion euros in 2012 to 3.4 billion euros in 2018. Regions with strong growth are still China and the US.
