Lohia Auto launches its three-wheelers in Nepal

Lohia Auto has appointed a distributor in Nepal and has also launched petrol-powered autorickshaw. And for future expansion and a stronger foothold, the distributor will further expand the dealer network in Nepal.

Lohia Auto Industries, part of the Rs 700 crore Lohia Global, is looking to expand its footprint in the international market. As part of its international expansion strategy the company has entered Nepal.

Ayush Lohia, CEO, Lohia Auto Industries said “At present Lohia Auto Industries has made its mark in the domestic market with a pan India dealer network. The brand is directly associated with 100 plus dealers in India. Internationally, we plan to foray in Southeast Asia and neighbouring countries to begin with, as these are emerging markets with lot of potential. We have started with Nepal internationally and also launched a petrol vehicle for the first time.”

Lohia Auto has appointed a distributor in Nepal and has also launched petrol-powered autorickshaw. And for future expansion and a stronger foothold, the distributor will further expand the dealer network in Nepal. Furthermore, as parts of its first petrol three-wheeler launch Lohia Auto, has also introduced the passenger and cargo vehicles in the market.

“The Industry of three-wheelers is estimated to be 2,500 units per annum. We plan to sell 600 units within the first year. To achieve this figure our aim is to appoint 10 dealers in next one year in Nepal as there is immense potential and we have already kicked started well.” added Lohia.

The company plans to commence exports to other countries in Southeast Asia and neighbouring countries as a part of its first phase of international expansion.
