The company says an error during the manufacture of tubing attached to the side curtain airbag inflator may result in the improper deployment of a side curtain airbag in a crash, increasing the risk of occupant injury. This issue is not related to other recent actions involving frontal airbag inflators. No crashes or injuries have been reported related to this issue, which was discovered through quality analysis at the inflator tube supplier.
