The new DS6 was launched with great fanfare during a ceremony at the Shuiguan section of the Great Wall, near Beijing, on September 27. This new premium SUV for the Chinese market features a host of Faurecia equipment.
The DS6 is the third model launched by PSA Peugeot-Citroën’s premium brand in the Chinese market, following the DS5 and the DS5 LS. Unveiled last April at the Beijing Auto Show, the upmarket SUV takes significant cues from the Wild Rubis concept car presented by the automaker last year.
The DS6’s luxurious interior showcases Faurecia’s expertise in interior systems. The Group supplies the instrument panel (slush and leather trim), centre console and door panels, which are manufactured at its Dongguan plant. Faurecia also produces the hot and cold ends of the exhaust system and the front seat mechanisms and structures.
