Dana to supply axles for JLR's new vehicles
Dana has secured the contract for supplying front and rear axles for the next generation of Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles.
Dana Incorporated has announced that it will begin supply of front and rear axles for the next generation of Jaguar and Land Rover luxury vehicles. The estimated value of the order is around 300 million British pounds (Rs 2,758 crores).
Dana states its latest 'Spicer AdvanTEK' axles will deliver greater power density in a compact package, help in achieving improved fuel efficiency, provide enhanced performance, and maximum durability. The axles are designed to ensure a luxurious ride with the best-in-class noise, vibration, and harshness performance.
James Kamsickas, president and CEO, Dana, said, “These new contracts with Jaguar Land Rover are a testament to Dana's commitment to engineering and our ability to meet the demands of the market."
Dana's total investment for the Jaguar Land Rover programs is expected to be approximately 21 million British pounds (Rs 193 crores). The axles will be produced at Dana's Birmingham, England, facility.
Founded in 1904, Dana employs more than 30,000 people in 33 countries across six continents. In 2017, the company reported preliminary sales of around $7.2 billion (Rs 46,899 crores).
