Dana, the global supplier of highly engineered driveline, sealing, and thermal-management technologies, has announced that its Sorocaba, Brazil, facility has received the Toyota Quality Excellence Performance Award and its Bogota, Colombia, facility recognised by General Motors Co as Supplier of the Year in the powertrain and chassis category.
Dana's Brazil facility received Toyota's award for supplying Hilux pickup trucks and SUVs with high-quality rear axle centre sections while maintaining a perfect quality scorecard, including zero defects, or parts per million (PPM) rejections. Securing a zero PPM rate is a significant manufacturing accomplishment and reflects the company's dedication to producing the best quality parts for its customers.
The Colombia facility received GM's recognition for outstanding performance in delivering innovative, high-quality driveshafts, axles, and modules, as well as excellent customer service. The Colombia location also was recognised for its efforts to develop the automotive industry in the country and provide competitive products to the marketplace.
"These recognitions are a true testament of Dana's dedication to fostering strong relationships with OEMs through exceptional customer service and performance," said Bob Pyle, president of Dana Light Vehicle Driveline Technologies. "Dana is committed to providing products that support customers in building robust, high-quality vehicles around the globe, and our efforts would not be possible without the hard work and focus of our employees."
