Making its debut at the International Motor Show (IAA) Cars 2017, BorgWarner will showcase leading technologies for combustion, hybrid and electric vehicles.

BorgWarner, a global leader in clean and efficient technology for combustion, hybrid and electric vehicles, will make its debut at the 67th International Motor Show (IAA) Cars, Frankfurt.

The Motor Show is scheduled to be held from September 14-24, 2017 will see participation from key European OEMs, leaders, stakeholders.

The German technology company will focus on current trends such as connected cars, autonomous driving and e-mobility as well as urban mobility concepts. BorgWarner will also present its leading-edge solutions for the cars of tomorrow, covering the complete range of propulsion systems from combustion to hybrid (HEVs) and electric vehicles (EVs).

"As we look to the future of transportation, we will see a wide variety of systems, including highly efficient combustion engines, different hybrid architectures and pure electric propulsion systems," said James R Verrier, president and CEO, BorgWarner. "To meet the demands of this diverse market, our broad portfolio of technologies for combustion, hybrid and electric vehicles helps enable autonomous and connected driving, and supports automakers around the world in mastering the challenges of tomorrow's mobility."

BorgWarner believes combustion engines will play an important role for some more time to come. Making them more efficient, powerful and clean is the main challenge for the automotive industry. The German company provides advanced solutions for modern, highly efficient combustion vehicles to deliver clean, fast-to-market technology solutions that increase efficiency and performance.

To meet evolving emissions standards, demand for hybridisation is growing stronger. As a result, diverse hybrid propulsion architectures, from P1-type hybrids (where the electric motor is directly attached to the engine) to P4-type hybrids (where the combustion engine and e-motor drive different axles) are gaining importance. The company has introduced a comprehensive electrified propulsion portfolio for mild, full and plug-in HEVs provides highly efficient performance for extended battery-powered range.

In addition to advanced technologies for combustion vehicles and HEVs, its product range covers virtually all electric propulsion areas including electric motors, power transmission, power electronics and thermal management, enabling the company to support automakers worldwide for their needs.
