Automechanika Istanbul, the region's most comprehensive automotive trade fair for the automotive industry, is to be held from April 10-13 at the TUYAP Exhibition Center in Istanbul.
The fair opens with record-breaking numbers this year: more than 1,300 exhibitors will occupy 12 halls and more than 35,000 square metres (2013: 27,000 square metres) of the exhibition center. While around 700 exhibitors will be from Turkey, around 600 exhibitors will be from abroad.
"Internationality has always been the key advantage of Automechanika Istanbul," said Aleksandar Medjedovic, managing director of Messe Frankfurt Istanbul, the co-organizer of the fair. "The number of international participants this year is a sign of success for everybody: the Automechanika Brand, the teams behind the fair, but most of all for the Turkish automotive market and the surrounding markets as well. Combining the constant demand for importing the latest technology for car manufacturers and suppliers with the global power of Turkish manufacturers of parts and components has proven to be a winning combination."
The 2014 edition has been restructured according to product groups, with several new sections such as batteries, wheels and tyres, and lubricants. Many new services are being introduced to assist visitors: a refined APP for easy navigation through the fair, a brand new visitor registration system to minimise waiting time and an entire new hall dedicated to exhibitors from the Far East showing the ‘Best of Asia’.
