August Wu appointed as the new President of Polestar China
Polestar China, a subsidiary of Volvo group's Polestar is going to be led by August Wu
Volvo group's performance road car brand, Polestar, has appointed August Wu as the President of Polestar China.
August Wu has worked for Volvo in Sweden as a Business Program Leader for the Volvo '60' cluster of cars and prior to that, he held a number of automotive industry-focussed roles within McKinsey and Company.

His responsibilities as the President includes Polestar's commercial offerings in China, development of the network of Spaces – the Polestar retail environment, as well as increasing Polestar’s brand awareness and consideration in the important Chinese market. He will report to Polestar CEO, Thomas Ingenlath.
Polestar, the new electric performance brand, enjoys specific technological and engineering synergies with Volvo Cars and benefits from significant economies of scale as a result of its connection to Volvo. These synergies will allow it to design, develop and build world-beating electrified high-performance cars. Polestar builds the S60 and V60 Polestar, the 367 hp performance road cars with over 250 developments over-and-above the standard Volvo products. It also offers Polestar Engineered performance hardware upgrades and engine software optimisations for existing Volvo products.
