Aisin to showcase new products for EVs at Paris Motor Show

Aisin Group, including Aisin Seiki Co, will jointly exhibit at the 2018 Mondial de L'Automobile (Paris Motor Show), at Porte de Versailles exhibition centre from October 2-14. Aisin Group will present its latest products relating to electrification, an area of great interest in Europe, which has increasingly strict environmental regulations.

The company will display its latest 1-motor FWD hybrid transmission based on automatic transmissions. This hybrid transmission features an existing automatic transmission torque converter, which is replaced with a motor and a detaching clutch.

Also exhibited for the first time will be four types of eAxle driving modules suitable for a wide range of electrification needs. This series consists of motors, gear boxes, and power control units (PCUs) in various patterns. By combining an integrated or separate type PCU, an inline or an offset axis type speed reducer, and a motor with capacity tailored to customer needs, it is possible to offer drive modules suitable for all kinds of vehicles including hybrid electric vehicles, plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, electric vehicles, and fuel cell vehicles.

In addition, Aisin Group will present a line-up of technologies and products that meet diverse needs accompanying electrification, such as an electric pump that lubricates and cools motors and batteries, a regenerative cooperative brake that regenerates deceleration energy with a motor, and car body parts made with a die quenching process, which contribute to weight reduction.
