Aisin AW Co, in order cater to the future demand for automatic transmissions in ASEAN countries, plans to set up a fully owned new plant in Thailand.

Aisin AW to set up plant in Thailand to cater to ASEAN demand

Aisin AW Co, in order cater to the future demand for automatic transmissions in ASEAN countries, plans to set up a fully owned new plant in Thailand.

Spread across 210,003 square metres, the plant will have a production capacity of about 12 million units per annum and will go on stream in July 2017. It will employ 300 people.

Aisin AW has one plant in the United States and three in China. The Thailand facility will thus become its fifth worldwide.
