When will your first car roll out from the Oragadam plant ?
We will commence production in May 2010 and the sales announcement will be made later.


What market share are you targeting by 2012?
Nissan aims to increase its market share to over five percent in future.


What is your planned investment for 2009-10 and how much of that will come to India?
Nissan has a global planned investment of 350 billion yen, of which a considerable portion (more than 15 percent) will be allocated to India among various projects worldwide.Our strategy is to make India an important business hub.


Do you plan to source components from India for your entry-level cars?
We will announce details later but currently we are planning to source 90 percent of the parts from cost-efficient countries including India. From India, we also plan to export to other countries like Japan, Thailand, and China.


How important is the India car project to your European plans?
We plan to start exporting in FY2011. Initially, 110,000 units will be exported mainly to Europe and other countries. We are also planning to increase this to more than 180,000 units in future.
