Why you chose Sankagiri (Namakkal) for the concept shop? What is the potential for tyres in this area?
Sankagiri has a potential for 7,000 new tyres every month, of which 30 percent accounts for radial tyres. Its close proximity to truck hub towns like Namakkal and Salem makes it centrally located in order to service the huge number of customers from these towns who ply on the national highway.
What is the investment in this WMC?
The total centre has Rs 30-40 lakh worth of investment in machinery and land.
What is the growth potential for radial tyres in Tamil Nadu?
The growth of radial tyres in Tamil Nadu has been the fastest and with more companies entering this field, it is ready to increase further.
You are also setting up a training centre for educating customers on new developments in trucking and wheel management.
A training centre has also been established in the wheel management centre to educate customers on the new developments that are taking place around the world in respect of maintenance of trucks and tyres. It shall also ensure that the benefits which can be derived from the WMC are communicated to the truckers. It will also train customers on different services like alignment and tyre repair.
What are the services provided at the WMC?
The WMC has a complete servicing and showroom area of 5,000 square feet and will cater to the service needs of locals as well as truckers driving through Sankagiri.The WMC will provide services like wheel alignment, radial tyre repair, nitrogen inflation, wheel greasing and retreading. The WMC will also sell new Ceat tyres, both radial and bias.
