Delphi leads push for standardised wiring
The existence of several different providers and technologies has led to compatibility problems during the wiring harness development phase.
Earlier this year, in pursuit of standardised wiring harness development, Delphi Corp. joined the organisers of the German automotive association VDA and ProSTEP iViP, at the annual KBL Day in Weissach, Germany to discuss with leading manufacturers and suppliers the current state of standardisation, related strategies and available products.
KBL is an integral part of the data exchange concept. Utilising KBL is just one aspect of Delphi’s Velocity Tool Suite, which is a comprehensive set of design, analysis and simulation tools to create a virtual model of a vehicle’s E/E architecture down to the last connector, electrical centre, electronic module and wiring harness.
