Nissan Motor India Reports 45% Month-on-Month Sales Growth in October
Domestic wholesale volumes reached 2,402 units in October 2025, up from 1,657 units in September, driven by festive demand and GST rate reduction benefits.
Nissan Motor India reported consolidated sales of 9,675 units in October 2025, reflecting a 45% month-on-month increase. Domestic wholesale stood at 2,402 units compared to 1,657 units in September 2025, while export volumes reached 7,273 units for the month.
The company attributed the growth to festive demand during Navratri, Dussehra, and Diwali, along with the positive impact of the GST rate reduction announced by the Government of India on small cars.
Magnite drives demand
The New Nissan Magnite, which holds a GNCAP 5-star safety rating and features 40 standard safety features, remained the primary driver of domestic sales. The company passed on the full GST benefit to customers, reducing Magnite prices by up to ₹1 lakh. The introduction of the KURO Special Edition and a new Metallic Grey variant generated additional customer interest.
Nissan also expanded its CNG retrofitment program during the month to include the Magnite BR10 EZ-Shift (AMT) variant, offering customers more options.
Export milestone and future plans
The company recently celebrated the export of its 1.2 millionth vehicle from India, reinforcing its position as a global export hub. The Made-in-India Magnite is currently exported to over 65 countries under Nissan's "One Car, One World" strategy.
Saurabh Vatsa, Managing Director of Nissan Motor India, stated that the company has focused on reducing dealer inventory month-on-month leading into the festive season, reflecting improved retail momentum and supply alignment.
Upcoming product launches
The dealer network is preparing for three new model launches, including the Nissan Tekton, a 7-seater B-MPV, and a 7-seater C-SUV. These additions are expected to boost customer engagement and expand the company's presence in the Indian market.
The October performance follows a 93% year-on-year growth reported in September 2025, when the company sold 1,657 units domestically compared to 857 units in September 2024.
