Gabriel India which is the flagship company of the multi-faceted Anand Group, has ambitions to be amongst the Top 5 suspension system makers in the world. The company, which is a leader in the domestic commercial vehicle and two-wheeler segments, is now focusing on strengthening its position in the passenger vehicle space by developing semi-active suspension systems for cars and SUVs.
Gabriel has commissioned a new technology centre in Belgium, Europe, with an aim to foray into the European market with its new semi-active suspension products which it claims will be cost effective, and be ready by FY25. Manoj Kolhatkar, Managing Director, Gabriel India, talks about the company's expansion roadmap and its diversification strategy beyond suspension systems, to strengthen its position in the transforming automotive landscape. Kolhatkar also talks about how Gabriel India has pinned its focus on sustainability in its operations, with an intent to leave a better planet for the coming generations.
