Global automotive conglomerate Stellantis has recently announced to introduce its EV-focusing Leapmotor brand into the Indian market and expand its presence in the country.

In this video, Shailesh Hazela, MD and CEO, Stellantis India, explains that electrification requires consistent incentivisation of EVs, strengthening of the charging infrastructure, lowering of the cost of the technology, as well as upskilling of the workforce, for a sustained adoption curve.

With India playing a key role in the global roadmap of Stellantis, Hazela points out that the company aims to leverage the domestic market, and tap into exports of components and software from India. "This is the multi-play we wil continue to focus on from India," he says in this video.
