Homegrown Tier-1 major Uno Minda, which is a key player in the areas of lighting, switches, seating systems, as well as sunroofs, and electric drivetrains, is eyeing strong growth in the future, led by a growing kit value-per-vehicle.

The company, which already sees its kit value in electric two-wheelers reach up to Rs 40,000 per vehicle, is looking at the EV transition as an opportunity rather than a threat. In this exclusive conversation at the Auto Expo 2025 – The Components Show – Sunil Bohra, Group CFO, Uno Minda talks about the company’s future-oriented product roadmap for electric four wheelers, as well as its plans to cater to growing demand for its products with 13 new plants that are underway with an investment of Rs 3,000 crore.

“Our endeavour is to bring high technology at a lower cost. We have dedicated R&D centres with focus on future products and we have been silently working on EV products for the last 4-5 years,” Bohra reveals in this video.
