Hyundai Motor India launches ‘Samarth Assistive Devices Conclave’ to promote inclusion and assistive technology
The day-long conclave provided a platform for critical discussions on topics such as the role of assistive devices in inclusion, the challenges faced by individuals with disabilities in India, and the potential of assistive technologies in para sports.
Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL), under its 'Samarth by Hyundai' initiative, hosted its first ‘Samarth Assistive Devices Conclave’ in Bengaluru. The event, part of Hyundai's ongoing commitment to societal betterment, highlighted the importance of assistive technology in empowering individuals with disabilities. In collaboration with Samarthanam Trust for the Disabled, Hyundai distributed 72 technologically advanced assistive devices during the conclave.
As part of its broader initiative, Hyundai has pledged to distribute a total of 684 assistive devices over the next three years. These devices include a range of innovations such as hearing aids, wheelchairs, digital kits for the visually impaired, and bionic limbs, aimed at enhancing mobility, vision, hearing, and communication for recipients.
