Hero Xtreme 160R 4V priced at Rs 1.38 lakh
While earlier Hero offered three variants for Xtreme 160R 4V, now it is only selling its top-of-the-line variant.
Hero MotoCorp has launched the 2024 version of its premium 160cc commuter motorcycle, the Xtreme 160R 4V. Without making any mechanical changes, Hero has tweaked the bike’s aesthetics and ergonomics and updated its safety features.
While earlier Hero offered three variants for Xtreme 160R 4V, now it is only selling its top-of-the-line variant. The most obvious addition to the Xtreme 160R 4V is a new colour called Kevlar Brown – a shade of copper and black.
This top variant carries over all the features from the outgoing Xtreme 160R 4V and adds dual-channel ABS and a drag race timer. It also gets a new LED tail-light that looks similar to the one in Hero’s flagship Mavrick 440 and a panic brake alert feature for improved safety.
During our time with our long-term Xtreme 160R 4V, we had complaints about the seat’s comfort. It seems Hero has noticed that and added a new seat to enhance rider and pillion comfort.
The Xtreme 160R 4V remains mechanically unchanged and is powered by a 163cc single-cylinder motor that produces 16.9hp at 8,500rpm and 14.6Nm at 6,500rpm. It has the same hardware and is equipped with a 37mm KYB USD fork at the front and a preload adjustable monoshock at the rear. With a slight price hike of Rs 2,500, the Xtreme 160R 4V is now available at Rs 1.38 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
