Athma brings over two decades of expertise in strategic HR management, performance management systems, employee and industrial relations, and change management. His professional experience spans diverse industries including pharmaceuticals, auto ancillary, telecommunications, and consulting.
Throughout his career, Athma has held senior HR leadership positions at several prominent organizations, including Telenor India, Syngenta, ETS India Pvt. Ltd, Computer Sciences Corporation, and Dr. Reddy's Laboratories.
His educational credentials include a postgraduate qualification in Human Resource Management from XLRI, Jamshedpur, and a Diploma in Business Management from IMM. Additionally, he holds a Master of Arts degree in Defence Studies from the University of Madras.
The company was incorporated in 2000 and is listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and the National Stock Exchange (NSE). It operates manufacturing facilities in Hyderabad. The product portfolio includes electric buses in various configurations and sizes, as well as electric trucks and tippers. The insulator business produces composite polymer insulators used in electrical grid applications.
Olectra's Research and Development centre has accreditation from the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research of the Government of India. The company holds ISO-9001 certification.
