The Deming Grand Prize is awarded to organisations which have achieved the Deming Prize and continued to sustain and elevate their TQM practices for over three years; CEAT among the 33 companies worldwide to win this award and is the sole tyre brand globally to do so.

CEAT becomes world's first tyre maker to win Deming Grand Prize

Leading tyre manufacturer CEAT has been awarded the Deming Grand Prize, making it the first tyre brand in the world to receive this distinction in 2023. 

The Deming Grand Prize is awarded to organisations that have achieved the Deming Prize and have continued to sustain and elevate their Total Quality Management (TQM) practices for more than three years.

In 2017, CEAT became the first tyre company outside of Japan to win the Deming Prize. The Deming Grand Prize is one of the longstanding quality awards presented by the Union of Japanese Scientists and Engineers (JUSE) for excellence in Total Quality Management (TQM). CEAT is one of only 33 companies worldwide to win this and the sole tyre brand on a global stage.

Commenting on the company bagging the pregious TQM award, Anant Goenka, vice-chairman, CEAT, said: “We are deeply honoured by the Deming Grand Prize.
