Ashok Leyland reports 1% growth in domestic sales in FY24, MoM sales fall by 7%

In the M&HCV (medium and heavy commercial vehicle) segment, Ashok Leyland saw a 2% growth on a year on year basis, from 1,14,299 units in FY23 to 1,16,197 units in FY24.

Ashok Leyland reports 1% growth in domestic sales in FY24, MoM sales fall by 7%

Commercial vehicle maker Ashok Leyland reported a 1% growth in domestic sales to 1,82,830 units in FY24 as compared to 1,80,916 in FY23. On a month-on-month  basis, the company saw a 7% decline to 21,317 units in March 2024 as against 22,885 in March 2023. 

In the M&HCV (medium and heavy commercial vehicle) segment, Ashok Leyland saw a 2% growth on a year on year basis, from 1,14,299 units in FY23 to 1,16,197 units in FY24. This number fell 9% when compared on a month on month basis.  lens. The company sold 15,936 units in March 23 as compared to 14,517 units last month.

When it comes to looking at domestic and export figures cumulatively, the company saw a 1% growth in total vehicles sold. In FY24, it sold 1,94,683 units, as compared to 192205 in FY23. On a month-on-month basis, it fell by 4% to 22,866 units in March 24 from 23,926 in the same month last year.  In the M&HCV segment, it saw 1% growth to 1,24,883 units in FY24 and on a Month on Month basis, its sales fell 7% from 16,773 units in March 23 to 15,562 in March 2024.
