Uber for Business Appoints Rituraj Chaturmohta as Senior Country Manager for India & South Asia
Former Airbnb executive joins enterprise mobility platform to lead regional growth strategy, strengthen corporate partnerships, and drive innovation in business travel and employee transportation solutions across the region.
Uber for Business has appointed Rituraj Chaturmohta as Senior Country Manager for India and South Asia, the company announced today. Chaturmohta will oversee the enterprise arm's growth strategy in the region, focusing on partnerships with organizations and development of corporate mobility solutions.
Chaturmohta joins Uber from Airbnb, where he served as Head of Sales and Business Development, managing teams across supply and demand functions. He brings experience in two-sided marketplace and platform businesses, including entrepreneurial work in the hyper-local delivery sector.
Eric Lee, Regional General Manager and Head of Uber for Business APAC, said the appointment reflects the company's commitment to expanding its enterprise offerings. He noted that Chaturmohta's experience in building platform businesses and understanding of the Indian market would support the company's objectives in the region.
In his statement, Chaturmohta highlighted his intention to deepen relationships with business clients and develop mobility solutions focused on return on investment. He described India and South Asia as a dynamic growth market for Uber.
Uber for Business currently serves over 200,000 organizations globally, providing management solutions for travel, meals, and commute programs. In India, the platform works with more than 8,000 organizations on business travel, daily commutes, and employee shift transportation.
The enterprise platform, launched in 2014, operates in over 70 countries and 10,000 cities worldwide.
