Terra Motors Launches L5 Electric Auto Showroom in Amritsar, Expands Presence in North India

Japanese electric vehicle manufacturer Terra Motors has launched its latest dealership in Amritsar, marking its formal entry into the Punjab market. The new high-speed L5 electric auto showroom, established in collaboration with local 3-wheeler dealer AP Motor & Finance, offers a full range of sales and after-sales services, including test rides and vehicle purchases.

The dealership showcases Terra Motors’ Kyoro+ model, an L5 category electric auto with a claimed range of up to 200 km on a single charge. The vehicle is available at a starting on-road price of ₹3.66 lakh. The model comes with a 5-year warranty and is built to meet the growing demand for cost-effective and sustainable urban transport solutions.

The inauguration of the Amritsar showroom was attended by local stakeholders and potential customers, reflecting interest in electric mobility options in the region. Punjab has seen increasing adoption of electric vehicles, supported by state-level incentives and rising fuel costs, making it a strategic market for EV manufacturers.

Terra Motors, known primarily for its e-rickshaws, has been expanding its footprint in the high-speed electric three-wheeler segment across India. The company has over a decade of experience in the Indian EV market and has recently intensified its expansion efforts, with new dealerships opened in Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh in recent months.

Go Suzuki, Managing Director of Terra Motors India, stated during the launch event that the company aims to strengthen its presence across major Indian cities and is actively seeking partnerships with experienced dealers in the EV space. He emphasized the importance of reliable product performance and accessible financing in driving adoption.

The Kyoro+ model is supported by Terra Finance, which offers a low down payment scheme aimed at improving affordability for drivers. The company highlights the vehicle’s low operating costs and durability as key factors for commercial operators looking to maximize earnings.

This latest launch underscores Terra Motors’ broader strategy to scale operations across India through dealer collaborations and customer-centric offerings. The company has indicated plans for significant growth in the coming years, with continued focus on expanding its distribution network and enhancing service infrastructure.
