Stéphane Deblaise Appointed CEO of Renault Group India, Effective September 1

Deblaise, currently CEO of Renault Korea, will lead the Group’s India operations as part of a broader strategy to strengthen its presence in key international markets.

Stéphane Deblaise Appointed CEO of Renault Group India, Effective September 1

Renault Group has named Stéphane Deblaise as the new Chief Executive Officer of Renault Group in India, effective September 1, 2025. In his new role, Deblaise will be responsible for shaping and implementing the Group’s strategy in the Indian market. All Renault Group entities in the country will report to him, and he will report directly to François Provost, Chief of Procurement, Partnerships, and Public Affairs at Renault Group.

Venkatram Mamillapalle, who currently serves as Managing Director of Renault India Private Limited, will continue in his role and will support Deblaise on corporate affairs, contributing to the development of Renault’s mid-term growth strategy in the region.

Deblaise, 52, is a graduate of Telecom Physique Strasbourg and IFP School. He began his career at Saft Batteries and joined Renault Group in 2000 as an Advanced Process Engineer. Over the past 24 years, he has held several leadership roles across regions, including Latin America, China, France, and Korea. These roles include Chief Vehicle Engineer for the Entry Program in Latin America, Vice President of Product Planning & Programs at Dongfeng-Renault in China, and Vice President of Renault Group Vehicles and Cross Car Line Program.

Since 2022, Deblaise has been serving as CEO of Renault Korea, where he led transformation projects such as developing the company into a production and development hub for mid- and large-sized vehicles and modernising the Busan plant for multi-energy vehicle manufacturing.

Renault is a global automotive company with a legacy in mobility and electric vehicle development. Under its ‘Renaulution’ strategic plan, the company is focusing on a more competitive and electrified product range.

Renault India Private Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of Renault S.A.S., France. The company manufactures vehicles at its Oragadam facility in Chennai, which has a production capacity of 480,000 units annually. Renault India operates through a network of around 350 sales outlets and over 450 service touchpoints nationwide.
