Ola Rolls Out First Roadster X Motorcycle from Futurefactory

Ola Electric has officially begun the rollout of its Roadster X series motorcycles from its Futurefactory located in Krishnagiri, Tamil Nadu. Deliveries for the newly launched models are scheduled to begin later this month across India.

The Roadster X series introduces a mid-drive motor with an integrated Motor Control Unit (MCU), designed to enhance torque delivery and acceleration. The motorcycles also feature a chain drive system and use flat cables—an industry-first design aimed at improving packaging efficiency, reducing weight, and supporting better thermal performance for increased durability.

Equipped with a 4.3-inch LCD display and USB connectivity, the Roadster X motorcycles run on Ola's MoveOS 5 platform. The system includes features such as cruise control, reverse mode, and advanced regeneration. The bikes also come with a patented brake-by-wire technology paired with a single-channel ABS, which Ola says is the first of its kind in this segment.

The battery system in the Roadster X series is IP67-rated for water and dust resistance. It incorporates wire bonding technology and includes a serviceable Battery Management System (BMS) to simplify maintenance.

Ola has priced the Roadster X range starting at ₹84,999 for the 2.5kWh model. The 3.5kWh and 4.5kWh variants are priced at ₹94,999 and ₹1,04,999 respectively. The Roadster X+ 4.5kWh is available for ₹1,14,999, while the top-spec Roadster X+ 9.1kWh variant, which features Ola’s in-house 4680 Bharat Cell and claims a range of 501 km per charge, is priced at ₹1,84,999.
