Motherson Sumi Wiring India Reports 14% YoY Revenue Growth in Q1 FY26
Company remains debt-free; Greenfield projects expected to drive profitability and expansion in coming quarters.
Motherson Sumi Wiring India Limited (MSWIL) has reported a 14% year-on-year increase in revenue for the first quarter of FY2025–26, reaching ₹2,338 crore. This growth significantly outpaced the domestic automotive industry’s 3% rise over the same period, showcasing the company’s strong content growth and participation in new model launches.
Chairman Vivek Chaand Sehgal highlighted MSWIL’s strategic positioning, stating that despite a slower-than-expected ramp-up at one Greenfield facility, the company is aligned with its broader expansion goals to meet OEM requirements. He credited the robust performance to operational excellence and close customer collaboration.
During Q1 FY26, the company remained debt-free and reported a PAT of ₹143 crore and EBITDA of ₹244 crore. One Greenfield unit began production in the quarter and is expected to ramp up further in the upcoming months. Electric vehicle (EV) business contributed 5.4% to the company’s revenue during this period.
MSWIL, a joint venture between Samvardhana Motherson International Limited and Sumitomo Wiring Systems, remains focused on delivering full-system wiring harness solutions aligned with the automotive sector’s shift towards electrification and premiumisation.
