Montra Electric Expands Dealership Network in Delhi NCR
The NCR expansion aligns with the company’s broader strategy to build out retail and service networks in markets where adoption of commercial electric vehicles is growing across last-mile and mid-mile applications.
Montra Electric, the clean mobility arm of the Murugappa Group, has expanded its dealership network in the National Capital Region with the opening of two new outlets: an electric small commercial vehicle (e-SCV) dealership in Libaspur, North Delhi, and an electric three-wheeler (e-3W) dealership in Surajpur, Greater Noida.
The new dealerships add to Montra Electric’s existing presence in the region, which is seeing rising adoption of electric commercial vehicles for urban logistics, passenger transport and fleet-based intra-city operations.
The Greater Noida e-3W dealership is operated by Vigsons Automobiles and will cater to last-mile passenger and cargo requirements. It will retail the company’s Super Auto and Super Cargo models and includes service facilities with trained EV technicians to support daily commercial use.
The North Delhi e-SCV dealership, operated by Action Volt Wheels by Action Earth Movers Group, will focus on mid-mile and intra-city logistics applications such as e-commerce distribution, FMCG movement and urban freight. The facility includes workshop and after-sales support aimed at fleet customers.
Senior executives from TI Clean Mobility, including Arun Murugappan, chairman, Montra Electric, and Jalaj Gupta, managing director, Montra Electric, attended the inaugurations.
Commenting on the expansion, Murugappan said the shift to electric commercial mobility depends on the strength of the supporting ecosystem, including service and ownership support. Gupta said Delhi-NCR is a key market where electric commercial vehicles are being adopted for regular operations rather than pilot use, making network expansion critical.
Montra Electric said the NCR expansion is part of its wider strategy to strengthen retail and service infrastructure in regions where commercial EV adoption is increasing across last-mile and mid-mile segments.
