Mercedes-Benz India Names Brendon Sissing as New Sales and Marketing Vice President

Mercedes-Benz India announced today that Brendon Sissing will assume the role of Vice President of Sales and Marketing, effective August 1, 2025. Sissing will replace Lance Bennett, who has been appointed Chief Financial Officer at Mercedes-Benz Middle East.

Sissing currently serves as Head of Mercedes-Benz Financial Services India, where he has led the division since 2022. Under his leadership, the financial services portfolio doubled in size while achieving record profits and maintaining high dealer loyalty ratings.

"We are excited to welcome Brendon Sissing as the Head of Sales & Marketing for Mercedes-Benz India," said Santosh Iyer, Managing Director and CEO of Mercedes-Benz India. "Brendon brings rich experience from the world of financing and insurance, as he successfully steered Mercedes-Benz Financial Service India, doubling its portfolio, driving record profit and business transformation."

Sissing's career with Mercedes-Benz spans multiple markets and roles. He began with Mercedes-Benz Malaysia, where he supported sales strategy implementation and established the company's credit operations. He later headed credit operations at Mercedes-Benz South Africa before taking on roles at Daimler Mobility AG in Stuttgart, Germany.

The executive holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Cost and Management Accounting from Technikon Pretoria and a Diploma in Credit Management from the Institute of Credit Management. He also completed various international leadership courses and was a founding member of Mercedes-Benz Services Malaysia in 2012.

Mercedes-Benz India operates as the country's largest luxury car manufacturer, completing 30 years of operations in 2024. The company maintains a production facility in Chakan near Pune, established in 2009 with an investment exceeding INR 3,000 crores. The facility produces multiple vehicle lines including the A-Class, C-Class, E-Class Long Wheelbase, S-Class, and electric vehicles.

The company's retail network includes 140 touchpoints across 54 Indian cities, featuring specialized centers for AMG performance vehicles, Maybach luxury cars, and G-Class SUVs. Mercedes-Benz India manufactures both conventional and electric vehicles locally, positioning itself as the only luxury brand to produce two battery electric vehicles in India.

The leadership transition comes as Mercedes-Benz India continues to expand its presence in the Indian luxury vehicle market. The company has implemented a direct-to-customer business model, among the first markets globally to adopt this approach.
