Mahindra Unveils XUV700 Ebony Limited Edition in India
The new XUV700 variant features a black-and-silver design theme with premium interior upgrades, starting at ₹19.64 lakh as Mahindra continues to expand its SUV lineup following strong sales of over 250,000 units since the model's 2021 launch.
Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. has introduced the XUV700 Ebony Limited Edition in India, featuring a distinctive black-and-silver aesthetic. Launched on March 17, 2025, the new variant is priced from ₹19.64 lakh (ex-showroom) and builds upon the standard XUV700 with specialized design elements.
The Ebony Edition comes with a Stealth black exterior complemented by brushed silver skid plates, black grille inserts, blacked-out ORVMs, and R18 black alloy wheels. Inside, the SUV offers black leatherette upholstery with silver accents along the center console and door panels, plus a light grey roof liner and dark-chrome air vents.
Available in four variants across petrol and diesel powertrains with manual and automatic transmission options, the top-spec AX7 L diesel automatic is priced at ₹24.14 lakh. The special edition maintains all the performance capabilities of the standard XUV700.
The XUV700 has been a significant success for Mahindra since its introduction in 2021, with the company reporting sales of 250,000 units in 43 months. This milestone underscores the model's popularity in India's competitive SUV market.
Mahindra has positioned the Ebony Edition to appeal to customers seeking premium features with a distinctive appearance. The variant joins Mahindra's expanding SUV portfolio as the company continues to strengthen its position in the utility vehicle segment.
The Mahindra Group, founded in 1945, operates across multiple sectors including farm equipment, utility vehicles, IT, and financial services. The company employs 260,000 people globally and maintains a presence in over 100 countries, with particular strength in the tractor market where it holds the position of world's largest manufacturer by volume.
