Kinetic Watts & Volts Opens First EV Showroom in Pune
Kinetic Group's electric vehicle subsidiary launches its inaugural 3S dealership facility in Maharashtra, marking the beginning of a nationwide retail expansion with service center support.
Kinetic Watts & Volts Ltd., the electric vehicle division of Kinetic Engineering Limited, has opened its first exclusive dealership in India. The facility, located in Pune's Vishrantwadi area, represents a significant step in the company's entry into the electric two-wheeler market.
The 1,400 square foot showroom at Tingre Nagar offers sales, service, and spare parts under one roof. Operated by dealer principal Ravindra Sharad Bhelke, the facility is complemented by Kinetic Lab, a dedicated 1,050 square foot service center in Dhanori that provides after-sales support.
Ajinkya Firodia, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Kinetic Watts & Volts Ltd., described the opening as a defining moment for the company. He noted that Pune holds special significance as the birthplace of Kinetic's legacy and now serves as the launchpad for its electric vehicle operations.
The dealership will showcase Kinetic's current electric scooter lineup, which includes the Kinetic DX and Kinetic ZX models. Both variants feature a 2.6 kWh Range-X LFP battery and include regenerative braking, reverse assist, and hill-hold functionality. The ZX model offers additional smart connectivity features through the Telekinetic mobile application.
Pricing for the Kinetic DX starts at ₹1,11,499, while the Kinetic ZX is priced at ₹1,17,499, both ex-showroom Pune. The ZX is available in five color options, while the DX comes in two.
The company plans to expand its retail presence across multiple cities in India in the coming months. Kinetic Watts & Volts was established in September 2022 as a subsidiary of Kinetic Engineering Limited, which has been listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange since the company's founding over 50 years ago.
The Kinetic Group built its reputation through products like the Kinetic Luna and the original Kinetic DX scooter, which became household names in Indian urban transportation. The company is now positioning its electric vehicle range as a continuation of that legacy adapted for contemporary mobility needs.
