Hyundai launches 'Hope Scholarship Program' worth Rs 3.38 crore for competitive exam aspirants

Hyundai Hope Scholarship Program

Hyundai Motor India Foundation (HMIF), the philanthropic arm of Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL), has introduced the 'Hyundai Hope Scholarship Program' to support underprivileged candidates preparing for the Civil Services examination, Common Law Admission Test, and IIT student projects across India.

The program was launched by H. D. Kumaraswamy, Union Minister of Heavy Industries and Minister of Steel, Government of India, with Puneet Anand, Vertical Head - Corporate Communication & Social, HMIL, and Soon Sang Hong, Vertical Advisor – Corporate Communication and Social, Hyundai Motor India Limited, in attendance. HMIF plans to invest Rs 3.38 Crore in this initiative, which aims to benefit 300 aspirants and 150 IIT student teams.

At the launch, Puneet Anand stated that the program aligns with Hyundai's global vision of 'Progress for Humanity' and aims to create shared value and positive societal change. He explained that the scholarship program was conceived to nurture future leaders and changemakers by providing social, emotional, and financial support to help aspiring talent focus on their goals. The program intends to offer equal opportunities and empower the next generation of leaders in India while supporting the nation's social and economic growth.

H. D. Kumaraswamy described the Hyundai Hope Scholarship Program as a unique initiative by Hyundai Motor India Foundation. He acknowledged the company's approach in supporting students from economically weaker sections who aspire to be agents of change. The minister noted that financial constraints often present significant challenges for many deserving candidates, particularly in key areas such as civil services, law, and technology. He expressed that this inclusive effort would contribute to the country's improvement and demonstrates Hyundai Motor India's commitment to nation-building.

The program will provide financial assistance, comprehensive resources, mentorship, and support systems to enable young talent to focus on their academic pursuits and excel in their chosen fields.
