GoMechanic launches roadside assistance service Top Assist
Top Assist covers more than 3,000 cities and 20,000 pin codes.
Automotive service provider company GoMechanic, launched Top Assist, a 24x7 nationwide roadside assistance service to address the challenges faced by drivers during emergencies. With the growing number of vehicles on Indian roads and the lack of reliable emergency services, Top Assist seeks to provide accessible and affordable solutions for drivers across the country.
India’s roads see over 230 million vehicles annually, with drivers frequently encountering situations such as flat tires, breakdowns, and other emergencies. A study by the International Road Federation indicates that 60% of Indian drivers prioritize quick response times during roadside emergencies. However, existing services are often costly and fail to meet expectations, particularly in rural and highway areas.
To tackle these issues, Top Assist offers comprehensive coverage across more than 3,000 cities and 20,000 pin codes, ensuring help is available even in remote locations. Key services include 24x7 emergency towing, flat tire repairs, battery jumpstarts, lockout assistance, emergency fuel delivery, and access to medical aid through ambulance dispatch and teleconsultations.
During its soft launch, Top Assist received a strong response, with over 1 lakh drivers subscribing to the service. Priced at an introductory Rs 99, it aims to provide an affordable and reliable solution for roadside emergencies. The initiative reflects GoMechanic’s focus on enhancing safety and convenience for drivers across the country.
Co-founders Himanshu and Muskan Kakkar emphasized the importance of dependable roadside support. “Breakdowns leave drivers feeling stranded and uncertain. With Top Assist, we want to ensure that help is always within reach,” said Himanshu. Muskan added that the service is designed to provide peace of mind to drivers, ensuring reliable assistance whenever needed.
GoMechanic has over 600 workshops across India. The launch of Top Assist is expected to further strengthen its position in the automotive services sector.
