ElectriGo Launches Electric Bus Leasing Platform, Signs MoU with GEMS for 50 Buses

ElectriGo launched its electric bus leasing platform targeting private bus operators in India on December 17, 2025, and signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Green Energy Mobility Solutions Ltd (GEMS) for deploying 50 electric buses across key transport routes. The MoU was formalised on August 1, 2025 in Chennai to accelerate commercial adoption of electric buses in public and contract transportation.

The company delivered the first tranche of 10 electric buses in Hyderabad on December 16. These vehicles will operate with maintenance and operational support from ElectriGo to ensure high uptime and fleet efficiency for the operator.

ElectriGo emerged from Turno, India's largest electric small commercial vehicle platform launched in 2021 by former Zoomcar executives Hemanth Aluru and Sudhindra Reddy. ElectriGo was launched in 2024 with integrated charging infrastructure, proactive maintenance, and real-time telematics to enable operators to deploy electric buses.

Sudhindra Reddy Pidapa, Co-founder of ElectriGo, said: "This MoU represents a shared commitment to accelerating India's transition to cleaner and more cost-efficient mobility. By combining ElectriGo's full-stack leasing model with dependable on-ground operations, we are making electric buses not only accessible but also commercially viable for operators across India."

Sunil Kumar Ravindran, Director, GEMS and Ziel Mobility said: "Ziel Mobility is a critical operating layer within our broader EV ecosystem. By combining electric buses, trucks, mining equipment, and high-capacity charging, we are focusing on practical deployment rather than pilots with active mining deployments and a clear roadmap of 200 buses, 150 trucks, and 50 mining machines by FY 2026--27---supported by ElectriGo's capabilities in technology-backed financing, maintenance, battery and lifecycle support."

GEMS announced the launch of Ziel Mobility, a green aggregator ecosystem focused on electric passenger buses and electric trucks, to support its operations.

ElectriGo operates across Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Gujarat, Rajasthan and Delhi-NCR. The platform offers integrated charging infrastructure, maintenance, and battery lifecycle support to operators.
