Chetak, a leader in electric two-wheelers, has announced its collaboration with the Kendriya Police Kalyan Bhandar (KPKB), an initiative under the Ministry of Home Affairs, to provide its Chetak 2903 model to KPKB beneficiaries across India. This partnership, effective from September 18, 2024, makes Chetak one of the early brands in the electric two-wheeler category to be listed on KPKB.

As part of the agreement, Chetak Experience Centres (CECs) nationwide are now authorized to sell the Chetak 2903 at special rates to KPKB beneficiaries. Eligible personnel can access this offer by presenting an authorization letter from the nearest Master Bhandar or Subsidiary Bhandar, along with a valid departmental identity card. Once authorized, beneficiaries can purchase the vehicles from any Chetak dealer.

The Kendriya Police Kalyan Bhandar, established in 2006 by the Union Ministry of Home Affairs, serves the Central Armed Police Forces, including the BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP, SSB, and Assam Rifles. The scheme also extends to Central Police Organizations such as the Intelligence Bureau (IB), the Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPRD), and the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB).

The Chetak 2903 is designed for urban commuting, featuring a durable frame and high-quality materials aimed at long-term performance. With this partnership, Chetak hopes to expand access to electric vehicles for personnel serving in various departments, aligning with its broader goal of promoting eco-friendly transportation.

Eric Vas, President of Chetak’s Urbanite Business Unit, expressed optimism about the partnership, stating, "We are pleased to collaborate with Kendriya Police Kalyan Bhandar to offer the Chetak 2903 to personnel serving in different departments across the country. This allows us to extend the benefits of our electric scooter to a wider audience, supporting convenience, reliability, and sustainability."

This collaboration marks a step toward Chetak's mission of contributing to a greener future while offering practical transportation solutions for those in public service.
