Apollo Tyres Introduces New Truck-Bus Bias Tyre Range
The tyre manufacturer has launched three new patterns in the 10.00-20 size segment, developed through collaboration between global research and development and plant teams, aimed at reducing total cost of operations for fleet owners.
Apollo Tyres has introduced a new truck-bus bias tyre range designed to enhance performance and reduce operational costs for commercial vehicle operators.
The launch, announced on January 29, 2026, introduces three new patterns in the 10.00-20 size, a commonly used fitment across truck and bus applications. The products were developed through collaboration between the company's global research and development teams and manufacturing plants.
The new range includes three distinct offerings. The XT 1x drive pattern tyre features a lug design for cut and chip resistance, optimised tread mass distribution, and a durable carcass structure. The XT 2x drive pattern incorporates extra deep tread with high mileage compound, optimised shoulder lugs, and reinforced casing for enhanced load carrying capacity. The XR 1x steer pattern tyre offers high tread depth with modular matrix tread, deeper shoulder windows for heat dissipation, and tie bar protected ribs.
According to the company, the tyres underwent extensive testing and incorporate technological advancements targeting durability, mileage and reliability. The design aims to maximize uptime and efficiency for fleet owners and transporters.
Rajesh Dahiya, Vice President for Commercial operations covering India, SAARC and Southeast Asia at Apollo Tyres, described the launch as a step forward in delivering superior performance and value. He noted that the combination of advanced design, construction and application-focused patterns is intended to help customers achieve lower operating costs while meeting demands of newer vehicle segments.
The XT series drive patterns are engineered for traction and durability across varied conditions, while the XR steer pattern is optimised for stability, handling and even wear.
Apollo Tyres is an international tyre manufacturer and leading tyre brand in India. The company operates multiple manufacturing units in India and facilities in the Netherlands and Hungary. Its products are marketed under the Apollo and Vredestein brands and are available in over 100 countries.
